2023 Forest Festival
A reminder that Allan Park, one of our beloved conservation areas, is hosting the 10th Annual Bruce Grey Forest Festival!
Allan Park will be closed from Monday, October 2nd at 7am through Thursday, October 5th at 7pm to facilitate this educational and environmental event.
🌟 The Bruce Grey Forest Festival is a collaborative effort initiated in 2010 supported by Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, Grey Sauble Conservation Authority, Sydenham Conservation Foundation, Bruce Power, Hydro One and several other organizations. This festival aims to cultivate a better understanding and appreciation for our forest resources and the environment. Over 900 grade seven students will participate in hands-on, curriculum-based activities across thirty activity centres, focusing on themes like biodiversity, sustainability, climate change, and conservation.
💌 Invitations have been sent out to all schools with grade 7 students in the Bluewater District and Bruce Grey Catholic District School Boards, along with a few others in close proximity. We look forward to hosting up to 300 students on site daily!
📧 For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact bgforestfestival@gmail.com
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to foster environmental education and stewardship in our community!
