This manual is a key resource that outlines how we review and evaluate development applications to ensure public safety and protect natural areas. It also helps guide decisions around planning and development in and near natural hazards like flooding, erosion, and unstable slopes.
We’ve recently updated the manual to:
- Reflect new provincial guidelines and legislation.
- Streamline content to make it easier to use and understand.
- Address policy gaps identified by staff and stakeholders.
- The final copy with ensure compliance with accessibility standards (AODA).
