Flood emergency and reporting
If you are in a flood emergency and your life is in danger, call 9-1-1.
If you are concerned about high water levels in your area, please contact your municipality.
SVCA’s role during a flooding event is to monitor current watershed conditions and weather forecasts, predict river conditions, and communicate our findings to the public, municipalities, and media.
For more information about our flood messages or to report flooding, please contact the Flood Forecasting and Warning Coordinator.
Types of flood messages
SVCA uses different levels of messaging based on watershed and/or shoreline conditions, weather forecasts, and the severity of flood risk.
